Interested in an air compressor

I've been looking around but I am not finding the exact info I am looking for right now.

I'm interested in mounting an air compressor under the hood, or keeping it inside the back and hooking up to the battery when I need it.

I would like to be able to fill tires in a reasonable amount of time at the very least, and run air tools like an impact or ratchet.

I want to be able to do all of this for a reasonable price, hopefully under $100.

Am I asking for too much with the ability to run air tools too on a small portable/mountable compressor at this price?

What do you all use/suggest?

First, you're not going to get a compressor the will run air tools for under $100.
Second, have you checked the current air compressor thread that's been going on the last few weeks?

I have a thread going with about the same parameters that you are looking at. Although I'm not looking to run air tools.

I decided on the Master Flow MV-1050 after all the research. $60 on Amazon, great reviews. I'll spend a few dollars when it arrives to modify it (look up MV1050 modifications) and it should be a pretty great setup for my purposes.

no compressor, regardless of the price will have enough output to run air tools. for that, you MUST have a tank.

Understanding that we're talking about 12V compressors, I agree. The larger tank you use will let you get little bursts with air tools but you may have to wait for the compressor to build pressure back up once it uses the pressure.

We use these on the race car , but I always thought they would be great for the 4WD Community. Takes up about the same space a group 12 Batt. And yes its plug for my good friend who is the inventer / manufacture ....
