Interior Cleaning and Maintenance

What is your routine a month or two after a detailing, when the dust is beginning to settle and you want to keep everything looking fresh and new?

Thanks for any input.

I have a 2 yr old. Be lucky to make it a month without cleaning the interior out. The interior can be quickly done in a few spare minutes.

Re-wipe with 303 + microfiber towel and spot vacuum where needed. CG Nonsense + a cheap scrub for the weathertec mats. I also carry spare microfiber towels (that are too used up for the exterior) in the truck. Always clean any spills before it gets too dried up.

The exterior, that's a whole another story and weekend event.

Thanks! I'm glad you saw this and responded.

I've not used microfiber towels for anything before. I assume you get them at Home Depot, a hardware store, or auto parts store...?

I get the bulk pack of microfiber towels from Costco. $15 for a pack of 36. Inexpensive.

You can get more fancy and plush ones through online specialty stores and detailing web sites (chemical guys, autogeek to name a few).

Never heard of this product. Will give it a try.

It's an all purpose cleaner. Any APC will work if diluted/used accordingly. I also like Meguiars products. They have APC and De-greasers that work well. Today would be a good day to order some online products if you don't want to search the stores. A lot of cyber monday deals to get you to spend some money. Autogeek.net will blow your mind with info and products.

Does this get the weathertec mats looking black again? I can't seem to get the dirt color off them.

Nonsense, diluted on the strong side + a stiff brush gets the salt stains off the weathertech mats in both my vehicles every spring. Returns them to almost new condition every time.

... tho I'm sure any APC, used correctly, should do the trick too.
