Interior LED Upgrade - Seller Recommendations

I'm looking to do JA's interior 5k LED upgrade, but V-LEDs is FAILING in a big way. The parts for many of the LED bulb replacements are out of stock with no expected resupply date, or dates that have come and gone but the parts are still out of stock.

I looked at LED Lights, Bulbs & Accessories - SUPER BRIGHT LEDS as they have a nice "fit guide" but many of the LED replacement bulbs don't match in color or brightness [i.e. some bulbs come in natural white (5100k) but others only come in cool white (6000k or 8000k)].

Anybody know of a "package deal" or some kit with matching brightness, color, etc? Or of another company they would recommend for LED replacement? I really want to have an even, natural white tone throughout the truck as JA was able to achieve.

if you want the cheaper version, which all these sites get the supplys from, ebay, i think from the china sellers, you have to look at the dimensions, take the dimensions and plut it on paper and cut a template out for size reference.

There is a good reason V-Leds products is out of stock from time to time, people love their products. I would wait it out, you will find their stuff to be of very high quality and the prices are right. I recall waiting a little for my choices to come back in stock but it was well worth it.

A Q: I've seen some LED fog light replacements but noticed you didn't swap em in your exterior LED conversion... Were you unable to find a high enough output luminosity?

I understand but I wouldnt suggest to piece leds from of bunch of different suppliers as the colors will never match. Even if they all say 5K, dont expect them to be the exact same.

As for the fogs, I run V-Leds HID, so no need for Leds there when I have 3200 lumens of HID goodness at 35W!

Can someone provide the V-LED part number(s) for the 24 LED dome cluster shown above?

Not sure if they are the one's (VLEDS) that makes that dome cluster, but I do believe they have one that's similar.
I did the complete LED swap interior and exterior, it was awesome. I did wait a little while to get them all in and are somewhat pricey, but of the highest quality. You will get what you pay for and you'll know that they are good and will all match.

I believe this was similar to this one, and you can put two in the dome light, like JA did.

That is a 194 flank bulb and wont work. I used this one which replaces a DE3175 Festoon type bulb and provides 120 lumens. I used just one for the passenger and one for the cargo area. Plenty of light.

JA, when you say I used 'this one', what are you referring to? Sorry to be so anal about all this but I'm lost in all the versions of LED lights. I am wanting to replace the passenger and cargo dome lights. I bought a pair of 4 LED lights and am not satisfied with light in cargo area. I have a 07 4R and BTW love your site.

JA, not the best thread but as you've been replying I hoped I'd catch you:

Regarding the map light mod, I want to tap the ILE at the dome overhead and just run a short wire forward to the maplights. I know the ILE is pin 2, solid white... But I've got to harnesses connected to the dome (I have a 2004 Sport with JBL Synthesis and wireless headphone option) and don't know which pin is which. LOTS of solid whites in these harnesses. Do you have a pic or a good way to test for the right pin? I couldn't figure it out from your schematic on you map light mod page.

Ok, upon further reflection, the 18-pin connector has to be for the audio transmitter. That leaves the 3-pin harness. However, all three wires are tan with blue stripe. No difference between the three. How to know which is the ILE?

I cant find anything in the wiring diagrams that references tan with blue stripe. All three wires are listed as white. You want the one that is pointed to when the switch is set to door. You could use a meter to check for ground when the door is open and looses ground when closed.
