Didn't have a single problem with keeping my truck clean, I'm used to black interiors......
I've always said I would never own a male dog, or a white dog, and especially a white haired male dog.
But I surprised my dad after a deployment by flying to see him and ended up with a white long haired male dog (long story) and I love him to death but the 4Runner is literally impossible to keep clean now!

first pass with California duster, then a microfiber towel + Griot's Interior Cleaner (if really dirty), then a final pass with 303 protectant.
caution re: Swiffer sheets – they have very little surface area to trap dirt and will scratch the interior's (already scratch-prone) plastics very easily.

has anyone researched anti static sprays? I know they exist but never tried them and am wondering if they would cut down on the particles sticking to the surfaces

I understand your pain. I can't keep the inside clean no matter how hard I try. The pet liner helped a lot but the fur still finds it's way under it.
But like you said, I love these guys so much that I don't care. Fur and slobber is a small price to pay.

I use a similar strategy to what has already been posted ...
I start with my California Mini Duster, then apply (with microfiber towels) Meguiar's NXT Generation Tech Protectant (to the vinyl and plastic surfaces) and Mequiar's Gold Class Rich Leather Cleaner/Conditioner (to the leather seats).

I use the swifter duster first, then use Turtle Wax Dash and Glass with a microfiber cloth for everything except glass. The stuff works awesome on the matte and gloss surfaces along with the Softex seats on my TE and doesn't leave a residue, film or make everything all shiny.
My apologies in advance, but I'm drinking beer and this has to do with cleaning (sort of).....
ANYWAYS!!!!! Feel free to laugh at my expense-
So I bought a waterproof seat protector with extra padding for the rear seat so my interior would stay nice and clean with my new doggo when we go on adventures.
My new dog has been awesome, no accidents inside, gets along with my roommates cats and he LOVES to be in the 4runner and just drive around.
So the other day we're cruising along and I went through an automatic car wash, the dog HATED it and started shaking and trying to crawl in my lap, no big deal, I pull out of the carwash and he goes right back to being happy pup. I roll the windows down and we're going about 65 MPH, the pup decides to try and jump out the window :nono: ....... That's unusual, I grab him and he sits down, about 10 seconds later he jumps in the front seat and is soaking wet.... I couldn't understand what happened.... Now keep in mind the windows are rolled down and I'm going about 65 MPH....... And now theres no dog holding down the WATERPROOF seat protector, and at this time I finally realized the pup had his first accident...... The seat protector starts VIOLENTLY flapping up and down and because it's waterproof- the dog and myself are now inside of a dog-pee carwash....... :yuck::dammit::sobbing:
Ladies and Gentlemen, I found out what it's like in the middle of a hurricane.... and It's not pleasant.......
