Interior removal

So I was removing my OEM rack and one of the mounting points for the rack (where the two bolts screw into) fell through into the headliner.. Anybody know a quick fix or do I need to remove the headliner to retrieve the mounting screws?? Here’s a picture of what I’m looking at.. before and after pictures

Got it back in position. Now my question is “What’s the trick to re-installing the rack without the nutplate falling back down in the headliner once I remove the bolts?? Thanks
