Intermittant electrical/static noise in speakers

Hi all,

I have a 2004 Sport Edition V6 that has recently started to have a loud rhythmical static noise coming from the speakers even with the stereo off. the noise occurs when the ignition is in the accessory position as well as when engine is running.

The noise changes in pitch and rhythem when electrical components are turned on or off.

Examples:
Brake pedal depressed
Windshield washers turned on
Rear windshield wiper
Power mirror is used
Cell charger is plugged into aux outlet
Stereo is all garbled when turned on

Any suggestions on how to fix this?

No, my wife and I have CDMA phones from Verizon. Plus, we have had the phones for years and the problem is just recent.

Probably a problem with the internal shielding in the head unit. Bad shielded wire or board can pick up electrical interference. Possibly time for a new radio unless youre good at circuitry.
