Intermittent Turn Signal Fail

This just happened to my 2003. I took the bulb out and the socket looks burnt inside. the bulb still looks good although its a bit melted. I need to replace the socket. I have found the following 2 part numbers, not sure which is right:

90075-60060
9007560060.jpg

90075-60028

After checking above, I will check for a bad ground somewhere upstream.

Fried like an egg...

Hi I needed to bring this back up, where did you guys buy the new sockets? is it easy to install yourself?
My blinker was out and i bought a new bulb which lasted for a day then went out again. So im going to try cleaning the socket but, if that doesn't work i will try the new socket.

I have a Runner w 210,000 miles on it. Just a week ago I replaced the FRONT LEFT blinker and it worked fine for a day. The it went out again. I thought I'd touched it with my finger and got some grease and created a HOT-SPOT and burned the bulb. So I tried again (third bulb) only to really notice dark brown "burned" ring around the bulb socket... I've now read enough to know it's a FRIED socket. I called the local auto parts store and he said it's a YOTA part. It's Sunday so I wait... But I couldn't find a thing on Youtube how-to replace the socket itself. I'm guessing from what I read here, it's pretty easy. To be clear, I DO NEED the "DLR" socket...? Thanks!! GET BENT!

Old thread I know but I'm not getting many answers on this subject. It started with my blinker intermittently not working then completely out. Changed the bulb, no go, still didnt work. Just for shits and giggles i tried the old bulb on the driver's side (no issues on this side at all) and the bulb worked. Then my passenger side headlight went out, changed the headlight bulb and it worked...for about 3 weeks. Now I have no turn signal, no headlight AND no fog light. All on the passenger side and all failed within about 3 weeks or so of each other. Just ordered two new turn signal assemblies (only way I could find to buy the socket w/o paying $50 at the dealer) bc the passenger side socket does look burnt but would that cause the other lights to go out also?? I obviously know nothing about electrical... making me feel like I really just wanna :gun4: to this one and get a new one.

I bought a few bulbs before a long trip and they gave me 'bulb grease'. I tried that on the sockets, been great for a year now.

Mine was the driver side, from about 1 year old it started acting up. I'd reach in there and move the wires and it would work again. After a couple of trips to the dealer and refusing to buy a bulb each time; they finally said leave it here for the day. Came back later and they said it shouldn't give you anymore problems. Don't know what they did but it was free and it hasn't acted up for over 2 years.

Funny I looked in the fuse box and swapped fuses for the turn signal and hazards, worked for a day. 64 yrs, kind of hard to get under the dash and listen for the flasher. sounds everywhere.
