Intro and hello!

Purchased my 08 T4R SR5 V6 last week and still waiting on my Nav/DVD/Sirius to be installed. (long story, but I got a good deal out of it)

I traded a 2001 Ford Explorer Sporttrac, and I am kicking myself for waiting so long. The T4R is so much more comfortable.

I do like modding, so I am reading up on all of yours now, so I know where to begin.

1 comment, my mileage on my 1st tank was 21 mpg, mainly city. My ST never saw 21 even when coasting down hill.

congrats on your purchase. i also traded in my 2000 ford explorer for a 4runner. much better quality, but in my opinion, i think that the seats in the explorer were a tad more comfortable, but all in all have had no complaints nor as many maintance issuses. but i bought both of them used and the explorer almost broke down the day i got it where as the 4runner made it all the way back from deleware to va in one piece. and the gas mileage is a lot better than fords. i think you will be very happy. also did you get a factory navi unit or aftermarket?

I have to agree with you on seats, I was a Jeep owner for 16 years before getting the 4runner, after 2 years with my 4runner I still adjust the seats on a weekly basis trying to find a comfort level. But going in to get the 4R serviced is night and day compared to the issues I had with my jeeps.

Some day though, I have a feeling the 4R seats may cause me to change out to something different. Possibly a Chevy Avalanche or Sequoia.
