Introduction, and eventualy upgrade thread......

no that's fine, i figured i'd have to do most of the work, but having the dims for those 3 big pieces will cut down on work immensely, as when i did my last 2 that hardest part was sorting out the fold lengths to get them right, but that may have been becuase my previous ones were shorter, below the wheel wells, anyways, you know how much work something like this ends up being and just being able to go to home depot and get a few of the big pieces cut perfectly on the sheet cutter makes things alot easier! thanks again!!!!!

btw, nice pics, i like your style!

I should also post that the dimension for the top pieces is a result of the space that was left between the fridge and seat. You could potentially go longer than 22" but it would all be tapered length, because of the slight trapezoid shape to the inside of the truck.

I'm looking forward to see what you come up with, and what I can steal for version 2.

won't be anything special, i'm making yours and skyrats have sexy times basically...i really like what you did with your and all i'm adding is better organization compartments to the underneath bit...don't hold your breath for this either, it's going to take a bit for it to be complete...silly wife won't quit planning social events for us...i just want to work on my truck and house...

Very close to what I would have done had it not been for the fridge eating up so much room. I was getting so frustrated trying to figure out a method that would meet all my criteria I actually stopped by a couple of dealer to check out 100 series land cruisers for extra space lol.

Nice pictures

The Omaha Henry Dorley Zoo is awesome! One of the best in the country

One of the ONLY places you will hear me try to convince the girl friend to "go see the butterfly" exhibit lol .. Also I'm curious to see what they do with all the space they are getting by tearing down the baseball stadium.

a few more pics from day 13 aka day one of the return trip.

I kind of built as I went, but the main 3 pieces are 4' wide by 22". If you are going to duplicate the fold method you do have to cut some corners off as well to allow it to have room to swing up in the fold/unfold process. If you need better dimensions or anything I'll probably be by the shop tomorrow and can take some.

thanks, I was planning to hit Home Depot and/or Lowes tomorrow to tackle mine

Great pics Stick. Love the one where the cloud is at eye level with ya.

Is that the Garden of the Gods there? Its been fifteen years since I hiked those grounds.

Great pics man! Thanks for sharing your adventures.

Thanks, I've got a few more from this trip and then I will have to actually get off my ___ and head out again to find something new to post.

I could have stayed on top of Pikes Peak shooting those types of cloud pics all day had it not been soo freaking cold up there. The girlfriend only got out of the truck long enough to realize the bathroom was locked. lol and yes we made a quick trip through Garden of the Gods after the Pikes Peak descent.

I haven't stopped by in awhile. The trip pictures from earlier this year look awesome.

BTW -- I just sent you a PM.

The Split 3's look way better than the 5 stars. The 5 stars look like bottom of the line steelies. :whipping2

I love the split 3's more than most around here, but I would LOVE to see the steelies that you say the 5 stars look like. Those sound like some pretty impressive steelies.
