Love all of the shots! I found myself thinking, "those pictures look awesome! It must have been twice as cool experiencing that in real life!"

I just saw one of your posts in another thread and I thought I would swing by and check out your build thread. I noticed that you have the hi-lift and shovel mounts mated your factory roof rack hardware. Have you ever considered getting a roof rack? Do you think it would fit with those additional mounts that you have?

Thanks - I'm still in the research stage for my roof rack/ attachments so I thought I would ask.

Worlds slowest response since I'm not on here very often anymore. Thanks, I hardly remember the real life versions of most of that. Its been far too long since I've gotten the truck dirty for a good reason.

I've never actually considered a full roof rack for myself. I've been able to make adapters for everything I've wanted to put on the roof, and I think if I were to do anything it would be to do a roof top tent and most of the accessories inside. All just depends on your needs and goals though. I would guess my exact mounts would not work with the racks available since my parts end up sitting over the rail, exactly where the roof rack would sit.

I do have a truck update coming sooner or later. I've just been really tied up with other projects.

Thanks, my truck and I have grown a lot together lol. If it helps my current spring set up is All Pro Coilovers up front with the heavier spring rate, and still have the OME 890s out back only now matched with the OME Shocks as well. It's stiff when empty, but it's pretty rare for it to be empty so it was a good compromise for me. This latest pics have the bed, full fridge, 6 gallon water container, tire chains, luggage for 2, camera gear, tool box, recovery bag, and 4 gallons of fuel on the roof. At the point it handles great!

Added a couple of things to the truck recently and figured I would share...

First up was to update the power port in the back to support the ARB fridge plug rather than using the banana style connectors I had been using on the Whynter fridge. Unfortunately I still have other accessories using the Banana clips, so those had to stay, and while I was at it I might as well add another standard cig lighter port:

It's missing the fancy contour of the original but it only sandwiches the panel so I can change it out later with an updated version. Most of this runs off the second battery. I left one power port on the stock wiring just in case I needed something on switched power.

The next little project was to clean up the front of the truck. I don't always drive around with a ton of shit in the windshield, but for long trips we have usually run: my phone, a GPS, and my Valentine 1 radar detector. This year I added a dash cam as a way to capture more of the trip. I just couldn't think about dealing with one more cord, so here's the first attempt to minimize the mess.

I gutted the V1 install kit and a couple of 12v cig lighter adapters and added their contents to my printed piece.

I got impatient and messed up the paint a bit, but it's okay its not going to be permanent because ...

The top usb port is blocked by the headliner, so I'm going to have to redo it anyway. At least for right now it moves 3 of the devices from dash power. And that's 3 less cords running up the damn dash!

Hey man, I'm really glad you came back to post an update.

Anyways, Stick Figure I checked out your website and it is great. The pictures are amazing. What camera did you use? Just the phone or also an SLR? I know this pic wasn't taken with an iPhone so unless you have a Pixel-3 like me it's gotta be some kind of a pretty decent SLR.

The White Rim trail is one of my favorite trails of any I've driven. I have been lucky enough to drive it twice now out of the three times I've been to Moab. Both times were in the summer and temps were decent.

After seeing your snow pics now I want to do a week long Utah trip in December. Maybe I can convince some folks to go with me next year.

You are a brave man driving down into the White Rim trail with snow covered wet slick mud for a road. Did you slide around at all? That red clay can be insanely slippery in my experience.

Your girl must be pretty accommodating to join you for a December 20F Canyonlands trip. That's awesome.

Did I mention how great it is to see a report from this trail in the winter? Very few people have balls to drive down into Canyonlands on an icy mostly muddy slick clay road that overlooks thousand foot drops if you mess up. It's intimating for normal folks. When we drove though in the summer my friends girl (he tells me) just went silent and wouldn't talk to him the whole climb out because it freaked her out.

Glad to see your still hitting the trails!

Final comment.... I also really like the camera shots showing the road and just a TINY bit of hood, it makes for a good visual.
