No I've got Icon 2.5s up front. So basically my suspension consists of Fox, Icon, and Total Chaos.

Finally finished through 41 pages lol, awesome truck, scenery and quality of photos!


I got a question for you. I've had 2 land cruisers (80s and 100) before and now '14 TE.

I live in Edmonton and from what ive seen there is absolutely no wheeling scene here except a few Jeeps scenes. Scenery up here sucks, just flat fields with mud holes and I don't know anyone who wheels Toyota.

There are some Toyota wheeling forums in Alberta but you need to take courses, pay memberships, install HAM radios, fill out forms and attend mandatory meeting etc. etc. more rules than fun for me to even get involved with them.

Do you know of any decent groups in Edmonton or maybe I could come out with you guys this summer? I wouldn't mind driving to Calgary if you guys are going camping for a weekend or something. If you don't mind me joining?

Oh, somehow totally missed this until now. I know of one group in Edmonton but have never wheeled with them so I can't comment on them. You're totally welcome to join Untitled Offroad though (link in my sig).

As you know in essence the person who owns the image is the person who has a copyright to it, even if it is not registered. So Rick took it of your truck. One of you owns the copyright to it. Send them an email stating "Hey! That's my truck and you are using it without permission. I don't like that at all. If you want a pic then fine, ask me" or something to that effect. You never know what nefarious character is behind it. Ex: Someone could have SOLD the developer that image CLAIMING he owned the vehicle!

Find out what it's all about then decide. Great pic though.

My day job is making sites and they would have to have hired a crackerjack to find someone that is unwise enough to just browse FlickR and rip off the photos they like while designing a site. When we show photos to clients to pick from they're either given to us by the client, or they have FPO stamped on them and a price tag attached. It really is a great shot and it ought to be paid for if it's making money for someone. My $.02..

Being in the "creative" industry, I concur with [MENTION=66316]1engineer[/MENTION] and [MENTION=117814]mattr[/MENTION]. Proving that is yours they have two options, take it down or offer you some sort of compensation, whether it is like a wholesale discount or store credit, they should give you something, and generally even credit the photog.

As others have already stated, they used an image without permission. If they do not take it down or offer compensation (and that means $, not "exposure"), you can go after them with legal means.

As a photographer, I routinely go out to make sure my work isn't being stolen...

Well now, that's more effed than an Albertan NDP majority government! A little local topical humor there.....but I digress.....

FWIW, that IS my favorite pic of your rig - they definitely picked a good one to steal.

Ok, was finally able to upload my pics to Flickr today. There were only two of us, so no hard core wheeling (duh, 5th gens can only do gravel roads and get stuck at the first sign of mud). I also had some fun playing with the fisheye lens.
