No I didn't read every word - but caught all the photos.

I spent a couple weeks in Alberta, mostly in the National Parks beteen the US border and Jasper. Beautiful Country. Though I was there in summer - so whole different ball game. That and Nevada is pretty much tree-less, grass-less and large river-less.

BTW: How many miles have you accumulated on the 4Runner by now?

Thanks, glad you enjoyed. I've driven from here to Vegas down the 15 and there was a lot of spectacular scenery - love Montana and there was also a canyon right across the NV border that was beautiful. Milk River Canyon maybe?

I've got around 110,000 km on the clock now. Not sure what a mile is :D

Great pics! BTW we have your snow and I want an address to send it back to you. I rode Tuesday and it was 60 degrees. Right now it is 2 degrees and Blizzard conditions.
 
I will gladly take your snow. We hit +15C yesterday, +7C today, and more of the same in the forecast. Nothing but big puddles and patches of ice out on the trail last night.

Quickly organized last minute trail run. We'd planned on doing a tougher trail but the report I got from people who did it yesterday was that it was pure ice. Also found out when I loaded the pics into Lightroom that I had a smudge or something on my lens most of the day. So, trucks and dogs as usual.

Ok, a few build updates...

Last week I pulled out my Yaesu 857D and replaced it with a FTM-400DR. Much more user-friendly and very easy to use.

On Friday I had my rear shocks rebuilt. When we put on the CBI bumper and Icon Overland springs we discovered the shocks were maybe at half charge. The pistons and shock bodies are also really heavily pitted from rock hits. If you drive a lot of gravel, get the shin guards. I think it's too late to bother with it for mine but if I replace them I'll order the guards with them this time.

Also had a pair of Rigid Duallys put in the rear bumper buckets. I think they'll be really handy for camping this summer and for night runs if I have to back up. With the way the buckets are angled they light up perfectly for use with the side mirrors.

Noticed last week that one of my ARB fog lights was shattered. Probably took a direct rock hit on the highway or something. Have a replacement set already (took a whole 3 days to get them) and dropped them off with a buddy who does 3M vinyl film.

So that's it for what I've done to it but there are a couple things coming. Decided to replace my X-Ray HID lights with a light bar, so that'll be coming soon. I kind of went full out with the light bar too - 13,000 lumens! I've also been seriously eyeing a set of Hutchinson Rock Monsters. The current exchange rate makes them a pretty hefty investment though. Still on the fence.

When we were running the wire for the Duallys I had to empty out the back of the truck so we could get under the sliding tray. I'm thinking about mounting an air compressor in the engine bay just so I have one less thing in the back. If I go that way I might upgrade to the CKMTA12. Just not sure how tight the fit will be. Plus if I go with beadlocks it'll be a lot faster to air up from 6 psi :D

Last night I also took off the roof rack. After a few years of gravel roads and Calgary winters plus the RTT the powdercoat was in pretty rough shape. It's headed off to be blasted and get a new powdercoat. Hopefully it doesn't take too long because the truck looks naked without it.

Yeah, they did a nice job with it. Funniest part is people keep asking me when I got the diff skid. It's been on there about 3 years now but you couldn't see it as easily before with the spare tire in the way.
