Had my drawer prototype cut out of 1/8" aluminum and powdercoated. I think they will work well with a few small tweaks. Still planning to sell these once the design is tested out. At least sell a few to pay for the prototype.

Drove to Oklahoma to buy a new/used bedslide for a deal I couldn't pass up. Full extension 1500lb rated for $900. Next mod is possibly a topper or bed cover for the truck.





Removed the bumper to measure for my buddy's bumper I'm designing. Also installed the Rigid SAE foglights into the bumper that I've had for a while.

Buddy's bumper design is nailed down and sent to quote. 10 gauge steel (1/8") should weigh 72lbs. Setup for winch mounting but no fairlead cutout. Can cut a slot later if needed but he doesn't plan to run a winch. Baja Designs S2 SAE yellow pods.

Selling Donny the Tundra:

Previously put ebay injectors in Donny but have had intermittent slow start issues ever since. Was thinking an injector was leaking fuel into the cylinder when parked. This weekend put in MotorWest Performance injectors and so far haven't had any issues. Both were 12 hole. Welded in a baby chambered ebay muffler since after chopping the frame a full size muffler wouldn't fit. Installed the front brake parts I had lying around.









Got the bumper metal in and tacked welded it all, just need to verify fitment on my 2019 Tundra, fully weld it, have it powdercoated, and install it on my buddy's Tundra. I might like it enough to put one on mine, and my Dad said he wanted one too.

After tacking together my Son's 1st gen Coastal using the truck as a jig last year, I couldn't imagine doing that on a bench.

For a full plate design, it looks like it will sit tight against the truck and is light weight as well.

I'm banking on my measurements being accurate, so when I get it on the truck, I'm hoping everything works. If it doesn't, I'm cutting tack welds and trying again. I clamped everything down with a square tube before welding to keep the 90s and straight lines accurate as I went.

I also added really small tabs so the 90 degree angles meshed together a little easier.

Got the bumper on but had to trim out the center and reweld it back recessed 1.5" to make room for the power steering cooler. I just assumed there was enough room behind the cooler I could bend the mounting tabs out of the way. A few other points where it rubbed needed trimmed but measurements turned out decent. I'll fix it for version 2.

Was modifying the prototype bumper when I cut my finger with the grinder and got 2 stitches. Project is delayed but in the meantime working on designing version 2.

Might end up selling both a 'prerunner' and a 'winch' front bumper kits.

Prerunner would be cheaper, 15lbs lighter, better approach angle, no winch mount.
Winch would be beefed up with mounts for a winch.

More work on the prototype bumper. Mocked up the hoop tubing my brother sells with his kits. Too short for the Tundra, and the forward facing sensors are inside the emblem and can't be blocked, so I shortened the center hoop under the sensors and widened it with a 14" long straight tube welded to the center. Just needs finished welding, grinding, and blending. Then off to powdercoat.

Tundra bumper is welded and sanded, dropped it off for sandblast and powdercoat yesterday.

Swapped lower profile tires onto Donny, doesn't rub when turning anymore and feels nimbler. Much better look.

Picked up the powdercoated bumper, trying to find time to install it on my truck for pics before my buddy drives down from KC to install it on his truck. I spent a ton of time smoothing the welds and I think I did a good job.

Weighs 76lbs with the hoop.
Stock bumper is 53lbs.

Bolted on but got too dark to mount foglights and wrap it up for driving. Install on buddy's truck scheduled for sunday. I'll reduce the bumper gap too.

I'm selling these as weld-it-yourself kits and fully welded/powdercoated as well. Message me if you are local to the Kansas area and are interested.

Had my 4R long travel control arms quoted at a local shop. They cut and bend, I weld. They quoted each arm separately.

$280 each UCA
$497 each LCA
So $1550 plus tax

Plus all the uniballs, heims, bushings, and hardware is $1000.

Grand total: $2550 plus shocks and axles. Plus powdercoating cost ($400?)

Comparable Dirt King kit is $3800 but my LCA is bent like RCLT so mine has more clearance and is +4.5" so possibly a hair more travel.

Helped my uncle buy a 3rd gen w/ elocker for $2500. Has 399k on it but runs well and has no rust. I'm sure I'll be helping him fix it up.
