Has anyone here negotiated invoice price for their 5th gen runner?? Did you get invoice price on your options as well? If so what dealership did you go to? We are looking at getting into an SR5 4x4 with the convenience package, third row seat, carpeted floor mats, auto dimming mirror with back up camera. Edmonds has it priced at $33746 including the 810 destination charge. What's the chance at getting this?? Thanks everyone for the insight.

Not sure about a SR5, but I got my 2012 LE for $1500 under invoice. Deals are there to be had, I think ytou can get a better deal on a LE and a SR5 than a Trail as they seem to be in high demand.

The typical price I am seeing on all models I have looked at over the past 6 months has been $900 - $1,000 back of invoice. They of course expect you to pay all of the various fees but when I am ready (Aug/Sept now) some of those will be the final negotiation components along with a few parts or discount on parts.
I like the dealer I would probably work with and their first quote to me was $900 below invoice.
The REAL trick is trying to figure-out what the ACTUAL "invoice" price is. I found substantial variance between USAA or Edmunds' "invoice" prices and what the dealer says are the correct invoice numbers. Confusing and just serves to irritate me. Facts are just facts...or so you'd think.
BTW - I am in a market that must be one of the more high-volume 4Runner markets so it's not like they need to be too aggressive...and well under invoice is the norm these days.

I purchased my 2012 Trail Edition for dealer invoice from Fox Toyota in Rochester, MI. I had to involve the owner, Mike Fox in the transaction after getting nowhere with my salesperson and the sales manager. I also had to order it as there were, quite literally, no Trail Editions available for sale anywhere in Michigan at the time. If I remember correctly, the difference in price between sticker and invoice worked out to be about 6.5 percent. In dollar terms, about $2,650 off of sticker.

I tried Findlay in Flagstaff, got no where with them.
I just bought my 2012 SR5 on Saturday. I wheeled and dealed for 3 weeks with multiple dealers. NONE of them would budge very much on price. I did get it for $300 under invoice using the Costco auto buying program. Basically just call the dealer and ask if they participate in Costco pricing. Thats all you need to do. I'm sure people got better deals than me on an SR5, but from the research I did and the stubbornness of the dealers, I settled for the price, but made sure they threw in some options. I was able to get the cargo bars for the roof rack, the rubber floor mats, window tint, and auto start at no additional cost. No matter how hard I tried, none of the dealers would throw in running boards.
I purchased mine from Hatch Toyota in Show Low AZ, only cuz they had the one I wanted and matched the big city dealer prices. Hatch has dealerships throughout the SW region.

Thanks for the great info. I was going to contact flagstaff as well after what Bay33 wrote getting $1500 under invoice. Maybe he got the last of the great deals from them. Lol!! I'll still give them a go as well as Cali dealers.
