iPad mini into Runner dash

Thought I would share as I am pretty stoked with how it turned out!

Had some time on my hands a few weeks back so decided to cut my cracked dash up a bit...



Flipped the cutout and touch of weld to hold



Bog to fill



Spare bit of steel cut and bent to fit



Fiberglass over to hold

Fiberglass, bog pin holes sand sand sand the rest of the dash



undercoat and add hole for charging cable



had to cut a bit out of the dash mount to fit

Nah the ipad is wifi only and a 16g at that...plan is to hook up to iphone when needed but I am about to get a wifi hard drive to leave in there (hidden and waterproofed) so there will be a couple of TBs of music and vids...for .... ahem... when we pull over....

The other plan is to maybe get my sierra wireless portable hotspot and bang that in somewhere too, as it has a plug for external aerial with a patch lead.

Cheers it works well for me! Quite simple to do, the biggest pain was prepping for painting to get it all looking smart.
