It is called ANODIZED ALUMINUM. You are truly blinded if you think that GS3 has better build quality! Drop test sure shows the fragility of the GS3!!!

Actually, it is fairly easy...as many apps now are both 4S and 5 compliant!

Let me ask you Koz...are all Android apps made ONLY for your 4.8" screen?? No. This is a major problem for Android because there are a zillion screen sizes that developers have to accomodate! A phone with a POS proprietary connector that will not even allow most old accessories to work (designed only for Apple). And the ones that will work need a proprietary adapter you have to buy (if you can find one).

That's OK, you can have your USB...hopefully the computer will eventually find the driver for it! I can insert my Apple cord into any computer and be able to pull up pictures from it INSTANTLY.

Rooting does not void warranty? Yes, it does. Unlocking the boatloader will for sure. Beware - if you do root (but not unlock) that you need to make sure you do not uninstall any stock apps or you will not be able to update to newer firmware OTA (you can disable them with ICS and not have to worry). Any OTA updates will most likely break root, but you can backup and restore root wit the OTA Rootkeeper.
A battery that if fails bricks the phone!
And how often does that occur with Li-ion?? Grabbing at straws, aren't you?! Strange how Moto RAZR, Windows phone, and other phones with strong battery life do NOT have removable battery. Weird, no? Coincidence?

Hint: a properly designed app or stock app don't need one. Only Android's stupidly overcomplex menu and submenu systems need one. THINK ABOUT IT Koz before responding. For example, on iOS Contacts, there is a BACK button on the screen. There is a BACK button when there is a need. Otherwise, iOS is very simple to use that you simply don't need one...just need one main button. Simplicity is beautiful, isn't it?? Despite "lack of BACK button," iOS is universally revered for its simplicity and ease of use.

Hint: Apple iPhone 4 is the cheap free model on most carriers. Where have you been? Which rock is it? iPhone 4S is the mid-grade. IMO, this will be a winning combination.
Don't fret, despite its age, iPhone 4 is still worth more used than your GS3...in Sprint's eyes.

Thai don't mean to interrupt your love fest with the Android folks but my lifeproof 4S case is here. I will be reviewing it in approximately 1 hour after I complete the manufacture recommended water test.
For now I am enjoying the unmolested Retina screen for the first time in my phones ownership. It's crazy how much the Otterbox Defender muddied up the screens clarity.
Fwiw as much as I despise the iPhone 4/4S Defender case it did its job. After about a year of ownership my phone is immaculate and free of any scratched or smudges on either glass.

Unfortunately, the screen protector for the Defender 4S case suck to no end. It is the non-reflective, highly grainy protector. For the Defender 5 case, Otterbox made it clear...BUT, now, there is watermark effect (rainbow effect). So, again, i poke out the protector and install Zagg HD on my iPhone 5 (as i did with 4S)...so, now i have Zagg HD protecting the screen and the rest of the Otterbox protecting my phone.

Well idk if I didn't press the phone far enough into the case but there is a little gap between the screen and case that makes typing a lot more difficult for me. It has slowed my typing down tremendous amount and will take some time getting used too.
I forgot to take a picture with the phone naked but it doesn't appear to effect picture quality. I will have to report back in a few days after use for call clarity and such not.

But the screen protector is so clear it's almost like I don't have a case at all.

After receiving a few text I can say the speaker appears to be quite muffled. It's a trade off I guess for water tight integrity. I'm not quite sure how I feel about that, but it's something I think I can live with.

I'm not sure if that actually works. The back of the case vibrates when I play music. I guess that's the subwoofer effect idk, but to me it seems a bit quieter.

Pretty impressive this 920! Nice camera for a phone...class-leading with iPhone 5 second? Unfortunately, Nokia ecosystem is still very much in infancy...and may not make it to puberty if 920 does not become a success. And that will be quite difficult giving that Apple and Android are so much ahead. In addition, for Android users, Window's platform is even stricter than Apple's...it won't let you do much of anything (at least on the old Windows 7 software).
The other problem is that Windows have shown that they will abandon old phones at a drop of a hat! All Windows phone (not named Nokia 920) will not get the new Window 8 update. Instead, they will get an updated version of Windows 7 (7.8 to be exact). Nokia 920 will be the first to get Windows 8, which is supposedly quite nice. The problem is that Microsoft has started from scratch with Windows 8 (nothing from prior is compatible)...thus, everything will start from ground zero, including apps. This means that you will have to wait a long time before Windows apps will get to the level of Apple/Android...if ever.
Although Windows software tend to be optimized for the hardware (like what Apple does), Nokia 920 hardware is very tame, except for camera. It has not been released yet...but when it does, it will only have a dual core Snapdragon S4 processor and 1 GB RAM. Dual core S4 is decent, but is old news. That processor is easily surpassed these days by either the Apple A6 or Exynos (from Samsung) or S4 PRO (from Qualcomm). The latter two are the latest quad-core processors. And given Window platform's tendency in the past to stick to one configuration of processor and screen size, this means that it will be a long time before S4 will be upgraded. Apple has a huge ecosystem and has a huge following...and given iPhone 5 latest performance and benchmarks, Nokia phone is not strong enough to beat it. So, no go there. What is left? Some folks will want to be different. Some folks will be pushed to it by AT&T rep. Some folks will want something reliable & easy to use (thus no Android), but hate Apple. Some folks don't mind the lack of apps and want an experience similar to their PC (with Windows 8). All of these folks won't be enough to bring the heat to Apple or Android IMO.

Finally used the iOS maps for real. OMG, what an improvement from the google maps "navigation" that we had on iOS 5. Updates real time, easy to see, clear directions, quick rerouting. It did an excellent job.
I still use Poynt for POIs. The bummer about Poynt is that it hasn't updated to integrate with iOS maps. It still pushes the "directions" over to google maps via web.

You can’t even see that I have been pushing your buttons, even after I told you. Vector maps in iOS 6 are so efficient that Apple can cache a very large surrounding area for offline browsing and GPS navigation when traveling outside of WiFi or mobile data coverage.
Apple's new Maps are a huge leap over iOS 5 maps in pure technology: the use of vector maps (mathematically described, resolution independent map information rather than static bitmapped pictures of map tiles) enables fast, sophisticated navigation of 2D and 3D views with fluid panning, rotation and perspective, in contrast to the flat, static map images provided by Apple's previous version of the app.
Using vectors also results in much less data use (an estimated 80 percent less), as your iPhone can download large areas of maps faster (eating up less of your data plan and battery).
The efficient outlines can also work offline far further after you lose your data connection. For example, while iOS 5 Maps would load Google's map tiles of the immediate area being browsed at a couple zoom levels for offline browsing (generally less than a 10 mile radius), Apple's new vector maps, once loaded in San Francisco, allowed us to browse an entire continent of high level maps (state outlines) while offline, north from Anchorage, Alaska to Lima, Peru and from Honolulu, Hawaii to Montréal, Canada.
At a highway level detail, we could actually navigate most of California, and on a simplified level, the western half of the United States. There were detailed street-level maps available of areas we'd never even looked at while online, as far away as Salt Lake City, Utah (about 740 miles or 1200 km east). Thanks to vectors, you can even view these offline maps in 3D perspective.

If Google does port its Android maps to iOS, it will certainly also use vectors. However, Google's existing native app for Android doesn't currently offer the same kind of benefits Apple's new Maps has; when taken offline after loading maps around San Francisco, Google's native Android Maps could only zoom out enough to show the most basic state boundaries for part of the northwest U.S. (zooming out any further, we lost any coverage for California).
Rather than showing navigable road detail for most of California as Apple's Maps do, the latest Android Maps, despite vector support, could barely cover the 49 square miles (126 sq km) of San Francisco after losing connectivity.
Major highway routes degraded to a blocky mess within ten miles of our loaded location, and even city names disappeared after 40 miles (64 km). Highway 101 vanished into dead ends just 70 miles outside of San Francisco.
