Yep, The stock 4Runner has a "rake" to it with the front being a bit lower than the back. Most lifts tend to adjust this to a more level stance. Of course with adjustable COs in the front, you can adjust them anyway you want. :biggrin2:

Thanks, Brad. On the adjustable front coilovers, where does one make the adjustments and how easy is it to get to? You use a wrench or some special tool? Does it have, like, a graduated scale bar so you can know exactly how much adjustment you make to each side (so you can get them exactly equal), or is it like "One and a half clockwise turns to each side"?

Honestly, I doubt I'd go as hardcore as the adjustable coilovers, but once I get into it, who knows? I think the OME sounds just about perfect for what I'd want to do, provided that it would be strong enough in the front to accommodate a high quality brush guard that isn't just for "bling" effect.

I believe the COs are adjusted by turning a collar. No index, just counting the number of turns and measuring to be equal. Not sure on the tool, I assume it's like spanner wrench that comes with it.

As far as OME, since you have a V8 and plan to add a front guard, I would go with no less than the 885 from springs. They should be fine unless you add 100lbs or more to the front end. I run the 886s with my winch and bumper.

Sweet rig. I'd love to have a bumper like that, but it would be overkill for what I have in mind. Do you find that roof basket to make a lot of racket at highway speed? That bumper looks like the bow of a ship! In a good way, of course. Bet you can ford some serious water in that thing.

Thanks, I really like the Shrockworks bumpers. They are made in Houston and are very well built. Other than the obvious protection, the other significant improvement is your approach angle. With this bumper you can drive up to some pretty big obsticles and your tires contact them before anything else gets in the way. :biggrin2:

The roof rack is OK but does generate some wind noise at highway speeds. Since I now pull an off road camping trailer for my serious trips I have taken the roof basket off for now.

That's one of the coolest things EVER. I'm totally diggin it. I showed my wife some of the pictures, and she said, "Holy CRAP!!!" So I'm already greasing the gears...

Good man! :bigok: Let me know if you have any questions. I don't work for them but I am a major advocate. It's not as tough or small as an Adventure trailer that has a climb up roof top type tent, but for my needs and comfort desires, it's perfect.:biggrin2: :biggrin2:

I have towed it up old mining mountain roads that my friends didn't like driving without a trailer. It's built like a tank.

I was so overwhelmed by the "Wow!" factor that I forgot to check the pricing before. I was fully expecting it to be MUCH more than it actually is. Very reasonable! I will be checking it out for sure.

We are looking to get our 4Runner in the last week of June or first week of July (if any dealers in Texas have a 4WD V8 Limited in stock...), and then heading out to Montana for probably a month or so. I'll be stumping to snag one of these awesome camping trailers, too. Beats the daylights out of a 4-man tent!

Of course, it's probably too big to fit in a standard campsite area, but then it doesn't really seem designed for overnighting in Yellowstone. Yukon, maybe! What a find, thanks for all your great info, Brad, you've really been a tremendous help.
