Is it annoying to just change two tires?

So i picked up my new to me runner (99 limited 4x4) and sold my 02 2wd sr5. It needed two tires bad and the others are 11/32. I bought two goodyear wranglers, then got to thinking, If i dont buy the 2 others now, then I'll be forever having a set of new or newish tires and ones that are close to needing replaced. I could "afford" to buy two others, just getting opinions on if i should.

Buy the set of 4 and keep the 2 good tires.

Yes. Do yourself the favor and get the four. I got a rear tire knifed through the sidewall (who knew there were gangs on Cape Cod?) of my Cross Terrain SUVs. I just couldn't justify buying four tires to replace one. I ended up getting into a cycle of 2-tire swaps until they... discontinued the Cross Terrain SUV.
Now I have no choice but to swap all four even though I have two in great shape.
Doing this will also discourage you from swapping to a different tire should you want to go to a different size, style or brand. You'll always be buying the same tires to match your other two.
If you can afford it, just buy all four and swap one of them onto your spare and keep the other for a backup against a punctured sidewall or a Cape Cod gang.

Ditto on getting all four - you want to have the same size, tread pattern and wear, rotating, etc.... on all four, plus you would be doing as you said, forever changing two at a time. Keep the other two as spares.

You could sell the 2 good tires on ebay and shipping is really easy, just slap the shipping label on the tire and wrap some packing tape around it, no boxes!

Anyways, follow the advise, buy all 4.

I wouldnt want to use the full time 4wd option with mis-matched tires.
