Is the OE throttle body made by Denso?

i may be replacing mine at 230k miles. best local dealer price is about $280. wondering if, like o2 sensors, one can buy direct from the manufacturer. not sure it is Denso. could also look for used or remanufactured.

since i don't know for sure if the hesitation i'm experiencing is due to the throttle body or not, perhaps i will shop for a low mileage salvaged replacement. can always sell it. i do see on ebay new aftermarket units for sub $100. wonder if those are a good alternative.

I agree with daprotege5. Give us an idea what's going on and we'll try to offer some advice. I would doubt the throttle body is causing your problem just based on the fact that they are fairly reliable.

I would pass on aftermarket for this sort of thing. Used I would try but I'm not a fan at shotgunning parts.

i would probably try a used one for +/- $100. resale loss would be less, and it would be OE.
