Is there a keyless entry option for a 96 limited T4R?

Update:
Remotes work for my truck even tho the FCC # doesn't match up. The issue is that only the "lock" button works to lock and unlock the rig.

Good to hear. Disregard that FCC ID then. Only one button is supposed to work. The ad says this:

Buttons: These remotes have 4 buttons on them. The remote you use now may have less. If it does the buttons that are not being used on your original remote will not work on the replacement remote, please disregard them. You are saving a lot of money by going this route.

keyless ECU location

sorry to resurrect an old thread but,...

I have a 96 SR5. I do have the the security light (just a red light, no mic), but can't find any RS3000 box in the standard locations.

I looked under the drivers seat and under the dash area.

Any other locations it could be? The car did not come with a FOB.

Any tips appreciated!

I am interested in this also. I recently got a 98 Limited with nothing but two aftermarket keys. Bought it from the original owner's retired Dad. He said he didn't know if it ever had keyless entry. I found it odd that it wouldn't since my 99 SR5 does and was really pretty basic. This Limited has everything else on it, so I thought Keyless entry would be a given. Trouble is, I looked under the seat and there is nothing. Only one wiring harness running to the seat for power.

Do you have the little red security light on the dash? Or elsewhere?
Usually that's the first indication that you had/have a system.

I might try to pull it apart soon and trace the wire hoping it leads to a box.

I also have a small speaker looking device under the hood, that looks like a horn, but the wires were cut.

No I don't. Not in the 98. I do in the 99. I wonder if my wife would notice me taking the keyless system from her 4Runner......

That won't work. From '99 on, keyless was built into the truck at the factory in the Back Door ECU and the Body ECU.

She's probably notice, anyway. They are like that.
