Is there a need for cup holders on the 96-98?

I'm bummed I haven't been following this thread. I'm local to you with a manual trans. I would like to see how it feels once mounted. My gf and I were talking about cup holders in this thing, just yesterday. I said I wanted to do a single cup holder somehow attached to the seat so it would move with the seat. Maybe we can figure that one out. I hope your house and stuff is ok. I'm on the opposite end the mountain so I'm not bother by the fires. Just feel bad for those that are.

I'm heading out on a trip of camping and wheelin. When I return I will get in touch with you. In regards to the fire. It sucks!! The canyon keeps getting filled with smoke. The wind will kick up and blow it out then a few hours later it's full of smoke again. Hopefully when we get back this fire will be gone. I also plan to launch this product on my site as soon as I get back. I have a guy that is loaning me his manual bezel to work on when I get back. It would be ideal to then test fit it on an actual manual 4Runner so I can make sure all shift functions are not impared in any way.

If I ever make it back to the US I'm buying one.I finally got back from my camping trip to the rockies late last night. Took almost all of today to just unpack and clean all my gear. I do have a good sized batch of cup holders for the 2WD and 4WD. They will come in both factory colors of tan and gray. I also brought my laptop with me on our trip and finished up the single cup holder design for the 2WD and 4WD. Those are both on printers right now. I was hopeful to release these today but I got home WAY later than expected. I plan to prep and paint the first double and single cup holder design tomorrow morning and then take pics for my website tomorrow evening using my buddies 3rd gen T4R. I should have these available within 48 hours. Sorry for the little delay. I just wanted to have both the single and double available at the same time. The single will allow for full movement of the seat and still hold a pen and cell phone while holding a cup at the same time. The double will hold two pens, two cell phones, and 2 cups but not allow for full movement of the seat. You guys will get to chose what is most important to you and order accordingly. Do you need lots of movement of the seat or lots of function out of your cup holders. Unfortunately the 3rd gen console doesn't allow for both. I will get pics up tomorrow sometime of all the finished designs painted and installed.

I actually texted you a few months ago regarding availability on a 3rd gen 4Runner and at the time you asked me if you can use my center console to use but was not able to as the runner is daily driven. Anyways. Ill keep checking your site so as soon as its available ill put my order in. :biggrin2:

What I need right now is a 2WD 4Runner in socal to take pics from. I have the center consoles and a 4WD 3rd gen local to me for pics but no 2WD. If someone would drive up to my place and let me take pics of both single and double installed in there 2WD T4R then I would give them the cup holder of their choice for free. I'm up in Forest Falls.

no I had the seats reupholstered down here in ensenada, they matched the color perfectly,new foam, did a beautiful job! $120 for both!

Alright, the time has finally come. It has been a longer journey than expected to make these cup holders. The biggest challenge was making these as functional as possible with the tiny of amount of real estate I had available on the console. I did my best. The double holds two cups, two cell phones, and two pends. The single holds one cup, one cell phone, and one pen. I did my best to listen to all of the requests. The single allows for almost full movement of the passenger seat. There is 1/2" that is lost but you can push the cup holder a 1/2" further up if you REALLY want that full movement of the seat. The double will eat up about 4" of forward movement of the seat but for most of you, that will not be an issue. They are now in stock and both are up on my website. Products | BH3D Printing. I did not put all of my stock on this site. I will be putting some on etsy and ebay later today but those prices will be higher due to the seller fees. I don't have to deal with those fees on my site so I can pass on the lower price to you guys. Here are some pics of the 4WD double and single installed. As soon as I get a volunteer with a 2WD to let me take pics of those installed then I will get those pics posted asap.
