Is there a way to disable the blinking security light?

I just finished installing a new stereo HU in my 05 SE. I was very excited to reconnect the battery to test everything. However, now, the little "car" security light, on the AC/Info digital doohicky, is constantly blinking. I mean CONSTANTLY: whether the 4R is running or not; whether the factory alarm is activated or not. I cannot figure out what the deal is unless, screwing around with the JBL audio harness, in some weird way, caused this to happen. Is there a way to disable it? ... And yes, I did do an earnest forum search on this issue.

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Pull the light itself out? That would stop it for sure.

It's probably upset that you "stole" the stereo. Not sure how to turn it off though. Odds are it's an LED so you probably can't even unplug it.
