Is there an easy way to remove this wood grain piece of the passenger side dash?

I found the full glove box replacement thread by googling "5th gen 4runner glove box". My question is: is there a simple way to remove the wood grain piece and the grey pieces on each side? If I try to pop them out will I be doing damage?

Check out this thread - should be pretty similar. It looks likes its more involved than just the "wood" piece, so don't go tugging.

Yeah. Thankfully I came across that thread earlier before I started breaking things. I'm gonna do the project tomorrow. My plan is to plastidip it.

Yeah, wrapping would be the way to go on interior parts that are a pita to remove and are small enough to wrap for a newbie at wrapping.

Thats what i was thinking... good beginner project. Plus id like to do something with texture like brushed aluminum.

not to mention having to pop them out again for a respray after the wife drags her purse across it and rips the dip.

Do you have photo of the wood piece in plastic dip? My is craked and I was thinking to wrap it
