That seems like a steal. Like others have said, that same truck down here would be at least $7K regardless of what KBB says. I would concur, it was probably overheated at one time or the head gasket wouldn't have failed, but that doesn't necessarily mean permanent engine damage. For that price, I would wrap both arms around it the Sport models are hard to find.

ONLY concern I would really have, and check this out CAREFULLY! This is a Connecticut truck - Connecticut trucks RUST! Used car guys KNOW how to hide serious rust damage, so that's what I would really look for - fresh undercoating, repainted surfaces underneath, things like that. If she ain't rusty, you've found yourself a deal there. :beer:

Its not from a used car lot. The guy that is selling it works at a high end Euro car place North Bay Imports but it is not being sold through the business.
When I looked it up on KBB it said 5k for good condition so idk what to think.
Should I just out right ask why so cheap?

Here's how the KBB working here in az when I bought my runner, they don't take into consideration the street price. I got a 99 highlander 5speed v6 with locking rear diff and the KBB said 5200 but the truck is worth at least 7 in my area. So I don't trust KBB for runners or any toyota or Honda out there because they hold there value better than most cars, at that price I would say that's a steal.

Car looks clean for its age. I would 100% get a mechanic to go over it and let you know what he thinks. Other then that looks like you could do a radiator due to its age and a waterpump since he already did the timing belt.

Well guys I just wanted to update saying that I walked away from it. Then the next morning my uncle gave me a call saying that a good friend of his was selling this


The truck has a full maintenance history for the past 8 years, 160k and is sr5, 4x4, v6
I think I found a winner

You still want to have it gone over thoroughly by a mechanic. How much? That is a clean machine. Nice. Mileage? Year? Locking diff? etc?
