What do you mean? If the window is up (and stays up), then the tailgate should work, right?

wrong, on the 2nd gen the windshield that comes up from the tailgate goes into a window channel. As soon as that window goes up the tail gate locks. so you can't pull it down. From what I've heard and the very obvious of course, is that it's a ***** to work on since you're all cramped up in the 'trunk' space.

Run away. There's way too much wrong with that truck, and the fact that all these little things weren't told up front makes me wonder what else he's hiding.

Here: 1992 Stock Toyota 4Runner - it's a little more than the one you're looking at, but it's a cleaner truck.

Thanks man, I've come to this conclusion through the huge help of this thread. I'll be skipping on this truck and be content with my 3rd gen.

The knock sensor is a pain to get to its under the upper and lower intake plenum.

If you dont have the time or money to work on the truck stay away.
