ISR mod question

Hey guys so today I got the right size pipe to FINALLY do the ISR mod which ive been itching to do but never could find the right size

question.. when you take off the silencer box, what do you do with the hose coming off the edge of the box? is it important? thanks fellers

You can see where to connect it here. Some 4Runners have a hose in that spot already so you may need a T-connector to add the hose from the removed intake silencer. If you haven't seen this write-up already, it may help :cheers: : Dr. Z's Air Box Mod

Yeah I'll have to get that connector.. What's that part specifically called usually if I went to the hardware store to get it? (I have multiple experiences of buying the wrong part haha)

Been there, done that about the wrong parts, haha. Its just a basic 1/4" Plastic T Fitting though, here's an example:1/4" Plastic T Fitting - 10 pk - 4068

You might want to run by an auto parts store and buy a new hose (7/32" inner diameter) to replace the old one. it'll only be a couple bucks and the ends will be tight on the fittings, compared to a 13 year old hose thats permanently streched. Just get about a foot of it and cut it to whatever length seems best. Not 100% necessary but it makes sure the hose stays tight.
