issues with viper car alarm

i have a 2006 4runner and want to install the TRD cai. i have a viper responder 350 alarm installed and was wondering if i disconnect the negative on the battery will the alarm go off? i need to disconnect it to reset the ecu? or is there another way to do it?

:iagree: but sometimes pulling the fuse doesnt work & since your under there already its just as easy to dissconnect the - term. i have a remote starter/alarm & use to have a unichip. there was always a a conflict with the chip no i had to reset alot, but you shouldnt have a problem with the alarm alone, if it goes off, just shut it off with the key or fob. if you dont want to rest the ecu while your there, it will adjust after you drive a few hundred miles. aside from this, there are other reasons why its suggested to disconnect the battery while working on your vec.
