Supposedly, most companies do spot checks on their clients to check driving records, but I can almost guarantee you that no company out there pulls a DMV record on every one of their
clients every year.
I doubt you have fooled them, but they probably won't find out about it unless you go to another company or change your policy.
Btw, knock on wood, it has been several years since I got caught speeding. I don't do it all the time like I used to though. Just in areas where i rarely see the law...
I also have a long career of tickets. I have not had a clean record since I was 18 when I got my first ticket. If I can behave myself between now and November, I will have a Clean insurance and driving record for the first time in 14years.
My most curent 6 are:
92 in 55 and Illegal passing - Received both at the same time. - The Court dropped illegal passing and reduced to 82 in 55. Both were dropped after driving school and 35 hours of community service.
65 in 45. The Court Reduced to Unsafe Speed - 1 point ticket
104 in 55, reckless driving, racing (not prearanged) got all three at once. Didn't go to jail. - The Court Dropped Speeding and racing. Stuck with Reckless - 4 point ticket.
To many to count back to 18 years old.
My various insurance co. and DMV have found out about every one of them except when I was out of state. I have never told the agents. So they do findout. It may vary state to state but they do find out. They audit there policys every 1-3 years. The only fool proof way is not to speed!!!
Will I ever stop speeding??? No! But I try to keep it less than 15 over since that is the magic number that gets you a mandatory court date in NC and the possiblity of losing your DL.
