I saw mid 120s when I was stationed in Yuma in '95. I don't miss it.

Being from Canada, and having winter 6 months of the year in my current location, I would deal with the heat for 4 months.
My retirement plan is to buy an RV, mount a snow shovel to the front and drive South.
The first place that asks me "WTF is mounted to your vehicle" is where I put up stakes.

If it makes you feel any better we have been peaking mid 70s this week! I mean we have had horrible flooding, but it is getting down to 60 at night, which is awesome to have the windows open at night in the house. Usually its 90+ degrees with 100% humidity. So although you have hotter temps down there, the humidity here is beyond horrible and makes a 90 degree day feel like 110.

Yeah it's been a little out of the norm, but I am definitely embracing it and so is my AC unit!

Yuck! I don't see how folks live with that down there or especially Houston. We've been as high as the mid 90s but I work around a large boiler so it's been miserable. I'm in the hottest climate I ever want to live in.

its great what are you talking about. /s here in dallas not only are the lakes almost double digit over full (mosquitoes everywhere) . but the humidity is >70% and its about 101. i would much rather take the dryer hotter weather.

I lived in the Sonoran Desert a decade ago, and I actually miss the heat.
But ultimately it is a trade off, or a balance, between sun 350 days a year, and experiencing the seasons.
Growing up in the Midwest, you dont realize how much you rely on the snow in winter, rain is spring, heat in summer and then cooling back down in autumn to gauge the year as it goes by.

I think it's because it came out of nowhere. It was pretty damn nice all the way until the beginning of June almost. I've only lived here for about 4 years but it does feel exceptionally hot this year.

I sort of timed my A/C today. Throughout the afternoon, it kicked on for 45-50 minutes and was off for 25.
I have a lift on the way and am not looking forward to the install. I'll have to get to my friend's house at 6:30 am when its still in the low 80s and work quickly. It'll be worth it, though, when its done.

Those temps can stay south
Ill stick with 90's with the occasional 100's and 100 % humid in Chicago and negative temps in the winter. Honestly anything over 80 drives me nuts I'm a 60 to 70 kind of guy of course the best sleeping weather
The women hates it when 70 hits a/c is on. Im the rule of that portion of the house. Lot easier to warm up then it is to cool down she finally learned that
