Its Friday the 13th.....

As it start out right at midnight I have to go to the hospital for pain in my ( man stick and in my prostate ) area , a CT scan later and I have a kidney stone pushing on my urethra and prostate , Vicodin and lots of liquids and hopefully will pass soon.

My cat of 16 years is gravely ill , hopefully she'll make it through the night and I'll get her in first thing in the AM. Hopefully I'm wrong but it does not seem like she will pull through this. She's my little 4Runner buddy , I'd take the old girl for a ride now and then and when working on the truck out in the garage she always would have to be out there and would just sit on the seat while I cleaned and polished the truck. I am a dog lover a heart , but somehow ended up with 2 cats . The other one is 1 y/o.

Well I'm back home from this mornings 2nd trip to the ER . Its been a loooooong day , both me and the cat are home and feel like we have been rode hard and put away wet.....lol. I'm fricken whooped .

Tell them to give you something with more kick!! In addition, there are several strengths of Vicodin.

Did the CAT scan show anything other than the stone?? Some times, the stone can clog up the ureter (tube from kidney to bladder) and cause swelling in the tube due to congestion of urine (called hydronephrosis). Hopefully, this will not happen to you, but it can get serious. Of course, the kidney stone blockage can also cause infection.

But, the above is the worst case scenario. Just do what the docs tell you to do. In addition, you may want to take a few tablets of Naprosyn (Naproxen) or Ibuprofin (Motrin) to help with the inflammation caused by the stone. You can take this IN ADDITION to your pain killers. However, i would eat something BEFORE taking the Motrin/Naprosyn...and follow the dosing instructions on the bottle(s). The Vicodin can be taken on an empty stomach. I would NOT take Tylenol. Oh yeah, if you run fever, then go see doctor ASAP.

I'm doing ok tonite , just whooped.

I already stopped taking the Vic's. I had enough drugs for now. Not in anymore pain so I just would rather get all the crap out of my system asap.

Thats all they told me they saw on the CT.
