It's good to be back

I'm no stranger to the 4th gen 4Runner or this site. I've owned an '04, an '05, and I just picked up an '07 SR5 yesterday after cycling through a few other vehicles in between. I got rid of my '05 and picked up an '08 Tundra. Sold the Tundra back in October and bought an '08 Acura TL with 19K miles.

So a few days ago my soon-to-be wife says that she is considering getting rid of her Acura TSX. So I did some shopping around, found a good deal on this '07 and we traded her car for the 4Runner and she'll take over the TL.

Having purchased a house last month as well, it became clear that we would need an SUV or truck at some point just for carrying stuff around. I didn't think I'd be back in another 4Runner, but when I looked for an SUV I knew there was no other choice. Good to see this site is still going strong.

Welcome Back!! I've owned 4 4Runners throughout the past 9 years with a few in-between...I always end up coming back. Financially I'm an idiot, but behind the wheel of my 4Runner I'm happy.

Haha, I think you perfectly described me as well. :D

I think it's a shame that you went through few different vehicles before coming back to your 4R roots. I don't know if I can bear the thought of owning a different vehicle other than the 4R because I'm forever a fan of 4R's. I have a '95, had a '99 before I totaled it, and now I am a proud owner of a '04. I can see myself getting a completely different car (like a sports car) when I turn 50 but until I reach that age, I'm sticking to my 4R's. Welcome back!:hello::hello::hello::hello::hello::hello::hello::hello::hello::hello::hello::hello::welcome:
