& common sense says you dont put used oil in your gas tank.... & doing so doesnt make it like a 2 stroke! :crazy:
& the whole engines burn oil past the rings "logic" makes zero sense... the amount of oil burnt that passes rings on a healthy engine is probably equal to a few teaspoons every oil change, not 1 qt every other fill up. where is the "science" to support doing that?
just take your used oil to jiffy lube, auto zone or walmart to dispose of it & quit telling people to do something like this that can & eventually will harm the engine or other parts & sensors.

i'm quite lazy taking my used oil to autozone.
youre laziness doesnt justify the stupidity of adding a qt of used (or new) oil to the gas tank.

This is just to let everybody know I watch this guy from youtube pour in 5 quarts of oil in his audi gas tank and it ran okay and after a few miles of driving it dies on him.
In my opinion, he added too much oil.
I did that too by filling up my tank until it's full and added 3/4 quart of used oil. I had to filter it first using a paper towel because my container is full of crud. I'll be posting a video of it soon in this channel for proof. 4Runner4ever - YouTube
I've driven it for a few days now and it works fine so far. Rightnow, my 2005 4runner is the guinea pig here. So far it's working good. I guess if you are changing your oil and don't have a place to dispose it, this is the way.

i actually used 2 quarts in my last full tank of gas, drove it a little bit for around 10 miles and added 2 quarts of used oil. you know it's so funny, when i started it in the morning, a flume of blue smoke came out my tail pipe. i was kind of laughing about it because it looks like it was a diesel truck. that's my max, just 2 quarts and never 3 quarts. it will be stupid if i add more.

How is this easier than driving to the nearest auto parts store and dropping the old oil into their tank?

take it easy?? sounds like everyone that commented on here agrees. im just replying to your statement that it would be stupid to add more... so why is that stupid but doing it at all isnt stupid? wheres your "science" to justify doing this? laziness isnt justification... just recycle the oil.
