Not to gloss over your epic adventure, but where is Barlow Pass? I'm guessing it's in Northern Washington? Down here in Oregon, we have the Barlow Trail, which is the actual wagon trail that was the work around for not running the rapids on the Columbia River back in the Oregon Trails days. It goes around the south side of Mt Hood.

right i was really worried about finding all of my specs, i really wanted the multi-mode t-case and the locker in the rear , and glad to say those systems work a lot better then my old one did, the actuators on my old truck were very sluggish and seemed to be on the way out! so i am kind of stoked for less money going into parts, this is a mild upgrade front he old truck...i think, lol

Haha that's great , I'll answer some of the comment haters on that blog when I have time tomorrow, I'll explain what the park service said and why we left so much of the log up there...just remember there was a ton of trees down that day ....

Wow, that is CRAZY!!! It isn't every truck that could have been smooshed by a tree only to drive away! I'm sending the article to a J**p friend.

fully plan on it, going to make a bench for my fire pit or and end table to sit my whiskey on, or even possibly make a Shillelagh from it, this wood does seem to smash stuff well.....but i'm defiantly going to burn some of it, send the demon tree back to from which it came!:flamethrwoer2:

i just want to say, the now crushed 4runner was a big part of my life my parents bought it basically new with a total of 150 some odd miles on it, that truck took me to soccer games when i was a kid, on dates as a teenager, prom, trips to college and back, i was in the truck when i met my wife (coffee stand girl back then, lol) , road trips all over the Western us, national park after national park, drove me on my 4,000mi roadtrip/elopement/wedding and back home...drove me home every time, this was my parents family car, my family car, it will always have a fond place in my heart ,right up there with my first car, and i'm sure i'll be telling my grandkids about it...f'ing toyota....that said....time to make new memories

I completely agree with this quote. At times I see rigs for sale that are more complete and less beat up than mine for a price that's right and I consider pulling the trigger. But then I realize that each of those dents that make my T4R look bad was a story worth telling....
