These central jacking points, front and back, are intended to lift the vehicle to put it on jack stands. Then remove the jack. I hope nobody intends to get under the truck while it’s balanced only on one central point.

For changing the oil and filter I just drive the front wheels up on some low ramps to get a few more inches of room to move around more easily.

You are absolutely right.
No, I have never worked under a vehicle without jack stand since a bottle jack fell when I tried to change a tire on the road and almost lost my hand.
What was I thinking!?

The orange circle in GrizzlyPath's post #7 is in the wrong spot. It does NOT match the diagram in the owners manual (also shown in post #7). Do not lift from here.

In the diagram, the lift point is clearly forward of the double-tear-drop cover for the oil drain plug. GrizzlyPath's orange circle is clearly rearward of that same cover.

The red circle from ElectroBoy's post is the correct spot.

Not sure where the diagram in post #7 is from but I guess it's for 4th gen. You may see the jack point is on the front skid forward of the front wheels.
The diagram in post #14 by ElectroBoy is same as my 2018 manual which you may see the jack point is on the second (engine) skid and behind the front wheels i.e. further to the back.
Regardless, I would use the jack point as the photos in post #8 actually used by ElectroBoy i.e. on the front skid and forward of the front wheels.

Kindly double check the two diagrams:
The one in your post #25 has the front lift point forward of front wheels.
The one in your post #14 has the front lift point further back from front wheels which is what I have in the manual.
Hope this clears up the confusion.

Here is a photo of the front jack point to lift both front wheels off the ground. On my 2018 ORP, stock skids. It is slightly in front of the front wheels center point.

I guess the diagram in our manual, which has the lift point further back of the front wheels and what Grizzlypath has been using (see post #15), is wrong. i'm glad he didn't have much issue except a bit off balanced per his earlier post.

seemed like a relevant thread -- apologies if not. Just had to get som roadside assistance with a rear right flat, which was on an angle. Should I be worried that a floor jack was used on the piece in the red square attached? Didn't know any better myself, but looked at the manual just after and it looks as though it should have been next to that spot, but was not sure if that was moreso for the stock/oem jack. I just assumed this guy knew what he was doing. Hoping no damage is caused by this
