from my experience, i run the diff locked when in the snow b/c the vsc helps a lot if you want to stay in control. however, when i wanted to drift around and spin some donuts, i locked the diff.

Fme's / R:donahoe's
285/70/17 cooper discoverer stt (running at 30 psi during my trip)

6000k hids
yellow fogs

that's why those tires looked so good to me. They're the same as mine : didn't recognize them with the snow packed in them.

k thanks alot man!! i was thinking about kirkwood and maybe the drive up to alpine not to sure tho.which moutain do you think is the best in the north side of the lake?..i was there last year but nothing was open besides heavenly only like 5% of the moutain was open..it was the first week of dec but i had fun..we stayed at harrahs and we went to vex at harahs and cabo wabo and checked out some other nightclubs at mt blue but im not really into nightclubs that much.im 23 just lookin for a place where most of the college kid hang out..is that bar on ski run on heavenly moutain?...i cant remeber any bars near harrahs i just remeber casinos and some ski shop right across the street

North Tahoe, you can try Northstar... one of the best terrain parks and superpipe in the Tahoe area. But if you're going to ride at Northstar, arrive early. Lots were full by 10am last Sunday.

Other North Tahoe resorts are, Squaw Valley is huge but it caters more to skiiers than boarders. If you want to do alpine riding, Mt. Rose is quite popular with carvers. Boreal also has good terrain parks, but the rest of the mountain is more suited for a beginner, higher percentage of greens than other resorts.

South Tahoe, Heavenly and Kirkwood is probably the best. Kirkwood can get really windy though. Sierra is ok... lifts are slow though.

There are others, but I don't have gone there or heard about them from others. I ride at Northstar most of the time and been to some of those resorts mentioned. The folks I ride with gone to the others mentioned.
