Jaos Spoiler!

So I'll post pics as soon as i get it back from the shop today or tomorrow, (the body shop painted it wrong so i had to take it back) I've put back getting this spoiler forever, and I finally put funds aside and picked one up from Jason Burtman!

But before I install it... this abs issue keeps bothering me.. People say that with led tails and an led 3rd brake light that the abs light comes on. This is because the system thinks the bulb is missing, due to the led's low consumption(i think that's what i interpreted)

I've done research, and learned a 25 watt 25 ohm load resistor would solve this... but i want to get everything on and working today.

Can I not use any other type of resistor or flasher to trick the system that the filament bulb is still there??

I remember this problem as well, not sure of the remedy though.

I can't say I'm a big fan of the Jaos spoiler. Want to see how it looks on your 4runner though.
 
Nice Move cant wait to see pics mine is going throught the wet sanding and buffing stages 4 base coats of imperial jade mica and 4 coats of clear isnt easy to buff ill have pictures of mine soon too we'll take notes and compare!
 
i'm so fed up and done with this body shop! they never do anything right besides give me a headache every time i use them.

I'll have it tomorrow :(
 
go to radioshack and buy a 25 ohm resistor for less than $1. Don't get a $15 resistor online.

But be careful, I'm not sure what the largest size resistor is before the computer complains. Smaller resistors will generate more heat.

still rocking it! but it did break on me, i sent it in and they fixed it good as new!

the only downside is that the flip out design with the spring looses momentum after sometime, but i found away around it by some minor tweaks.

its a pain in the ass but lol i like it

Looks good Move! hey i got a few questions for you. what did you do with the big hole on the back of the wing?and how did you run the wire for the 3rd brake light?
 
your 4runner really does look sporty move, it came out looking great. i think you have given brian's old black 4runner a run for his money! :bigok:
 
looks nice well besides that exhaust tip needs to be tucked in about a inch lol stuff like that bothers me me
 
Do it!!! You'll be more than happy with the result. IMO the rear looks complete with the addition of these spoilers.

Did you customize your key for the 4runner? From the sound of it, you have your key like the audi's and vw's?
