Kinda looks like Windrock, and kinda like Wheelin' in the Country. Nice build you have going there Jason, and tell your wife i said congrats on being cool as hell! Thats awesome she hooked you up with the bumper and the winch.

Thank you sir, both videos are at windrock, trail 34 I think. My wife spoils the crap out of me, I will definitely pass along your compliment thank you.

I think that line got crossed a long time ago Lol. I decided after all the work I put into my 86 I just couldn't take a chance beating it up, so this one has became my wheeling rig and I'm good with that.

Just a quick update, I've added a few things to the truck over the last couple months. One I swapped out the 305/70 for a set of 315/70,

I also have been working on a long awaited project, a swing out tire carrier.







I still have some work to do on both, a little more lift to get the tires to fit, and some cleaning up and getting the carrier painted, oh yea and get a spare that will actually work.
Been wheeling once since GSMTR nothing to exciting, that's it for now thanks for checking in.
 
Hey man I'm loving your truck. We have got nearly identical vehicles
How is your steering rack handling with those 315s that's a wide old tire

Thank you sir, love the anthracite grey on these, it seems to drive fine with the new tires but my steering rack has always had a lot of slop so it's hard to tell.
 
Awesome rig! I've got a couple questions for you:

I see you're running LX450 wheels with 315's. Are you running a body lift or aftermarket UCA's?

I just picked up a set of LX450 wheels and I'll be running 285's with my 1.25" wheelspacers and no body lift. I'm concerned that the rears wil catch the fenders under compression. I plan to do 315's in the near future I'd like to run the wheelspacers in preparation for that.

I am currently running a 1" spacer in the front only, also a 1" body lift, I have only a slight rubbing issue in the rear and I plan to do something different with the bump stops to stop that. The front is a whole different story, but I'm working that out a little at a time.

I see. I'm going to test fit my 285's and LX wheels and see where things stand. I know I'm going to have to do lots of work on the rear of the front wheel wells. Depending on how bad it is, I'd also look into getting new UCA's and pushing the front wheels forward by maxing out the caster on the stock alignment cams. I don't see much discussion about this with the 3rd gen 4runners but with other trucks it's a big deal when fitting 33's and 35's. Not to mention it will also improve my approach angle.
 
Figured I'd chime in, I have LC wheels with 1.25" spacers and 285's. I have no issues with the rear catching. The front I have rubbing when in reverse and turning and under compression. I need to do some more trimming and I have a 1/2 body lift to install which should help. Hope that helps.

Btw, op that is a sweet bumper. I really need to get a welder to start working my skills and some armor.
 
New upper control arms are on the list but they are pretty far down, I went with 1" spacers on the front mostly because a buddy had them laying around.
There's only so much you can do with the IFS, my 315s rub the frame at full lock etc etc, I still have some work to do to get them to fit better but some of it I just have to accept.
