JBL Door Speaker Vibration

Ok so its been in the 20s here, which is unusually cool for my area. Today my passenger door speaker started to vibrate bad on songs with some bass. I have aftermarket head unit and sub installed in factory location and have the JBL system still in tact. Now i know its going on 10 years old and no records of it being replaced but i need to know how to pull the door panel off properly so i can access the speaker in hopes its not blown.

If it is blown (broken cone) can i replace said speaker and go on with life with aftermarket or because its JBL it has to be same one? Im unfamiliar with the JBL set up besides what i did when i changed out my headunit.

Any help is appreciated.

quick search yielded Crutchfield has harnesses they include in speaker sales for free that convert the JBL plug over to normal so i can use aftermarket. Can someone confirm thats all i'd need?

i didnt even use the harness, i just spliced the wires to an aftermarket speaker and kept the crossover and ran new tweeters. may ditch the xover eventually

I looked it up on my phone and watched while I did it. Those are rear doors but it's almost identical.

ditch the crossover. that white thing in the middle of the door. it makes the new 6x9 sound like ass. keep the oem tweeter in line

so just cut out the crossover and wire power/ground like normal from the cut wires to the speaker?

I havent looked in my door yet so if this question is dumb then just let me know ill figure it out when i open it up.
