JBL Stereo Install

I am looking at a 2006 Sport with the cheap no option single disc player.I have a chance to purchase an entire JBL Synergy system out of a 2009 .How much trouble will I have installing this system in the 06 or can it even be done?

I can't imagine changing out a stock system for another stock system...yes it's a better version but it's still STOCK...spend the money for a good aftermarket deck and build your system from there.

x2 plus i have the entertainment system w/ headphones and remote where someone in the back can listen to the radio while you have the cd playing and vice versa.

You can purchase one of the Scions units for a cheap upgrade. Check out that thread. That way, you don't have to change any wires.

It's not a "custom system" sound. But it sounds 200% better than stock.

It can be done. I'm adding a 4Runner Nav to my non-jbl Sport. I found out you can only order the parts through a Canadian Toyota Dealership.
Call the Vancouver Toyota and ask for Steve. (604) 530-3156. Let him know you're trying to accomplish. He'll steer you toward the right direction.
