Under DC vehicle registration guidelines, there is no minimum age of ownership for a vehicle... Except where there is lean (open note) on the vehicle, thus, restricting age of ownership as it pertains to a minor entering into a legal contract.

In short, if you have kid(s) they only own part of your 4Runner if you pay it off.

You'll probably brand me a heretic - but we rented Jeep Wranglers to get around the island, and would you know it - our Villa was at the top of a mountain accessible only by unpaved 4x4 roads! We joked all week that I planned it that way.
