Yea I understand that but is the black portion of this pic the plasti dip or regular paint

The black part is stock on trail editions. For masking, just mask off a large square around the emblem so there is an easy edge to peel. The front emblem I removed before dipping.

Just hit 10k miles. Time for the next stage. On its way:

Gobi stealth rack and ladder
Curved 40" light bar
Air on board switch
Morimoto led drl and signal swap
Interior led swap

lookin real good OP!! I just bought a white '15 TE last weekend and have already dipped front emblem white and gonna finish rear later today. I must say the white touch is very refreshing in regards to typically seeing everyone else take the black route.

Did the black "mesh" perforated surface (don't know what else to call it) right behind the front emblem cause any problems plastidipping? I'm assuming you sprayed over all of it and peeled? Probably going to do mine black...

He just popped the front emblem off. They are attached via clips, which you're able to pop off from the hood and taking off the top dust guard.

1 month in, Phase 1 complete!!

Update:

Lots of rubbing on the 275/70's because I went with a negative offset wheel. Switched them out for 275/65R18 and all rubbing is gone.

Front and rear bumper trim has been plasti dipped black

Front emblem plasti dipped white

HID Conversion installed.

Now for the pics:

would you suggest to "glossify" the black and white plastidip?

I only used glossifier on the front emblem. I did not use any on the black bumpers. It still has a tiny bit of a shine.

Is the Toyota logo screwed to the handle or is there an adhesive behind it.

If it is adhesive, is it difficult to peel off?

Thanks!

its adhesive and yes, as well the cleanup is a *****. he used plastidip which doesnt require the removal of anything
