Yeah, Holcomb is one of my family names, I'm probably related to the fella that found gold up in them thar mountains. I definitely want to see that trail.

It seems my plans have changed on the 16th so I may be able to go. I really want to go with the difficult group but am still unsure how ready my truck is. For now, I'll mark myself down for either. Someone talk me out of the difficult group. LOL.

EDIT: Looking online at some of the pics/vids, 2n17x looks to be quite a bit more difficult than the parts of Cleghorn Trail that I did. So I most likely will do the easy trail and see which trail the others will be doing afterwards. I hope to do something more moderate, yet not too difficult.

We stuck to 2N33 but there are some difficult lines you can take or stick to the flatter portion of the trail. Most of the pictures were of us taking the more difficult lines. Don't worry the easy lines are suitable for 2wd or stock 4wd. The difficult sections well are just more difficult. None of us will pressure anyone into doing something they arent comfortable or capable of doing.

Thanks PIkeman, makes me 100x more comfortable for this weekend, stock 4wd, first time out. Can't wait!

Ok looks like a good group and we should be able to split almost down the middle.

I will lead the Easy group through 2N33 and Drifter33 will lead teh difficult group through 2N17X. We will try to time it to meet back up at Pilot Rock and then finish the trail out. That will conclude the main run with others going on to Deep Creek to play in the water with kids and then some wanting more difficult to do Dishpan and or Holcomb. Adding these runs will make for a long day so be prepared.

Another good thing is to bring some cash in case we stop for a bite to eat at the end of our respective days. This will alleviate any problems if they dont want to split the check.
The Malt shop Hook Creek is great for kids and adults.

I would love to make it to one of these but can only do Saturdays as I have church on Sundays. Is their a recurring thread of these trips? What section is it under in the T4R website? I did a search because Outdoorlogic jImmy mentioned he was doing a run and I hadnt seen it anywhere on the forums. thanks guys

Dave
