I'm in. Also anyone have a spring compressor they would as so kind to let me borrow?

I should be able to make this run the weekend of the 30-31st. I don't have anything planned this time. :madgrin:
 
I'm in. I have my Baofeng and ordered a battery eliminator already so I'm done with being the weenie with dead comms lol.

I have a set at home but I'd need to ship it to you since I'm in SD. You could just go rent one for free from your local Autozone after you put down a refundable deposit.
 
Just make sure to check the safety pins for bends or it might be a pita to get them in place. Also check the threads on the rods. Some of them have been around the block and abused and you don't want to have one them fail on you. They usually have a couple sets on hand to choose from and if you don't like the looks of the first one ask to see another set. I think the price is like $55 for the deposit.

It was still hot up on the mountain this past weekend, but I'm not quite sure what our elevation was and we were on the Apple Valley side near the 18. The Green Valley side along with White Mountain may be the cooler side to be on.

Guess I'm in since I don't want to get moved to the weenie list. I've got some issues I need to take care of before the 30th so hopefully I have time to get everything done.

Gonna get those LCAs done before I head out on another trail. We spent 6 hours on the trail Sunday (you missed out, should have come!) when one of the trucks snapped a uniball bolt in a custom spindle on a 30 degree hill facing downhill. With all the breakdowns happening across both groups (TW and T4R) it got me thinking that I should probably finish getting my maintenance items done, which includes lower ball joints and bushings.

I know I know...I just didn't have all my shit done yet and couldn't risk taking another step back, and end up rummaging through your garage again, haha. Yeah the heat doesn't help it actually moves the things from the bottom of the "put off til another day" list to the top.
So are you going to just rebuild yours (LCA) for now or you coughing up the dough? I can rebuild them for you in a few hours swapped in and out pop out your bushing and pop in the new ones but I would have LBJ pressed out and the new one in cause that was the biggest PITA!! Ever!! And would rather not have to do that part ever again.
If you want take your LCA's off I will swoop by and snag them have my buddies shop do the LBJs and I will do the bushing's and drop them back off to you in 2 days so you can pop them in and get an alignment right after....just drive your Tacoma for a couple days

Gonna cough up the dough so I get the tie rod ends at the same time. That way I have trail spares in case I bend one. Appreciate the offer though!

So have you figured out a window of time (a day) to squeeze a run in? Too atleast some what get it out of your system..lol.

i got one in yesterday after work ~ got to Hungry Valley around 2 and played around for a little bit before heading home. what are you doing Saturday afternoon? gotta see if we can sneak one in... if i can get some work done early

Nothing concrete as of yet but when/where is decided, it will be on the first page. last 3 run started at 9am for safety checks and out wheelin 930am
