Is it just me or is it a little disconcerting that all the torque is placed on a single bolt hold under each plate? In other words, if you slip down on a big rock, the slider will torque up and pull on only one bolt in the front and one in the back. That doesn't seem like much support.

Hey Marc....I don't have a Hi-LIFT yet.I ordered a Hi-Lift X-Treme last week and it is supposed to be here Wed. I can check it out then but have NO doubts at all they will hold the weight of the truck and then some. When you feel how stout these babies are you will see what I'm talking about.Very thick walled tubing and excellent penetration from the welds making them super solid at 50 lbs a piece.
Shrockworks relies on word of mouth about thier quality of products and they are thriving,even in these hard economic times. Without making quality products they would have been out of business a long time ago .
You have to pay up front when you order from them and I've heard of people waiting 6-9 months to build them something so it's not their fast customer service turn times that keeps them in business! I ordered and waited 3+ months and bugged him every couple of weeks. He never flinched when I was pissed about the wait and repeatedly threatened cancelation .He calmly and politely apologized about the wait and said he'd give a immediate full return of my money if I did'nt want them.Be forewarned that a little patience may be needed!
The stock bottle jack by itself won't cut it if you have a flat. I have another old school screw type scissor jack and a bunch of blocks of hardwood stashed in the back. One jack and wood under the frame or axle in the back and one under the LCA's if I had a flat.
I take it you have the "long travel" option on your Icons too.You have to get the front really high in the air to get the wheels off if you have a flat tire as there is so much more down travel.
I have them red 20 inch truck jack stands and they were not high enough at the highest setting to get the wheels back on after my CO install.My big floor jack has a 23 inch lift and was needed! The LT Icons and sway bar relocate brackets gave me at least a 6 inch gain in travel. It may be different with your TE as the KDSS sway bar probably does'nt disconnect unless the truck is running.No pics or vids of a TE out flexing the KDSS with real CO's yet!....... hint ,hint! lol

They are the the black powder coat(semi-gloss) ,not the textured.The powder coat is nice but if I had to do it over again I would get the bare and paint them myself with flat black rustoleum and satin clearcoat.My powder coated ones are showing scuffs already.
The way they are made with steel angles and gusseted , the load is distributed to the frame and the 14 bolts that hold them on,not just the bottom bolts. The bolts are not your typical run of the mill cheap walmart bolts either as they are grade 8.8 and grade 5 high tensile strength bolts. For the bottom bolts to break the side of the angles would have to break loose too or bend the trucks frame. Not going to happen!Maybe if you drove off a cliff and landed them on a big rock first they would give.
