Dang Miah...when did you do this pre run? Shoulda hit me up I woulda went as I'm not going to make it the 25th :(

What's your reasoning or excuse this time for not being able to make it? I still have a couple more trails on this planned run list I would like to run before the meet so there is no suprise issues we come across ..when you available. Only need a few hours so we could even start at like 3pm

I just ordered the Baofeng GT-5 off eBay for $40 shipped. Seems to have the same features as the other $30-50 radios but with slightly better ergonomics. Hopefully it shows up in time. Anyone have experience with this model?

BaoFeng/Pofung GT-5 Product Reviews

Yeah it's the same as the one Drunner97 has been using and the same as the one and 85straight just picked up except yours is a newer version with new button layout, I think also black screen with white LED display and stronger antenna I believe..But all the GT's pretty much the same

Also for anyone who is unable to purchase a radio at this time to recieve it before this run PM me..I know money can be funny at times. I will order them and just get me back later. I want everyone to be able to go and have a good time, and to hear what's going on.
No body will know just me and that person/'s

I got the UV-5R V2+ , would you walk me thru setting the frequency either ahead of the meet or the morning of?

Hope that last section had a bypass or else you're going to be pulling the 2wds up it all day.

Although I've pushed mine I second to that. I hate to be pulled up multiple times but I have to get the rig running first. Trail looks awesome! Oneluv13T4R, you sir are a gentleman and a scholar for pre-running the trails. Much respect brotha!

I have a wipeout run (crazy obstacle courses) on the 25th, I paid for it like months ago. Well I may have some time this Sat I'm supposed to go climbing up in Tram but if that falls through I'll text you.

Just ordered by baofeng, larger battery, and antenna. From what read the 5R5 is a bit weak when it comes to the antenna and battery.

Alright ...This FRIDAY I'm gonna go pre run a couple more of the trails my goal is 2N90C and The Top of the World main trail and the other Spurs that branch off. Then shoot down the rest of Burns/Smarts to finish up those and wrap it up with Jacoby and the squeeze.

Instead of Jacoby and the squeeze
I would do 2N70Y on my way back out but I don't think it wise for me do that one on my own because from what I seen when I was there is that trail is in a creek bed." a wash"= super soft sand and big river rock. washes are no good for me alone they are my Achilles Heal. I've slept in many washes for the night by myself..lol. I guess another night wouldn't hurt.

For anyone who would like to go, if able and available for this window of time your more than welcome too. This is my only window there's no hour sooner or later or the next day this is it.
So if you wanna go and can make it...cool.
I'm gonna be on the trail starting at Rimrock, @3pm. It took me 30 mins to get from 2N01 and Burns Canyon intersection to get back out to pavement at Rimrock/Pappy & Harriets. So I will just say max an hour in on Burns to Top of the World trail head. Probably another 1hr-1.5 up in that area shoot out and over to Jacoby, Squeeze area another 1hr run and then up/around on those trails for 1hr-1.5 and should be out at sunset 7:30-8:00 just like last time and home by 9.

Some of this looks troubling without a lift and/or skids. Is this some of the off shots?

You have one of the most capable off-road vehicles on the planet! Have some faith and just pick the right lines you'll be ok. And yes this is one of the offshoots. I think the biggest clincher for most will be the squeeze imo

^ This. stock clearance is going to be fine for most of things you're going to go through, and if you need a spotter or can't figure out the line, just call it out on the radio. All of my (aftermarket) skid plate damage is from not caring about my line, haha. The bumper scratches though, no clue where those came from.

Wish I could do that prerun Friday since I'm going to miss the main event, but no way I can get out there by 3pm.

All the pics and vids I have posted are from one trail 2N61Y it's a blue rated trail for quads and dirt bikes and 70% of it is even for vehicles. But it is black rated for vehicles at this time because of two sections along the trail.
Do you believe me if I tell you that you will be fine from what I have posted so far?
