Just bought a 96 project I have a noisy Trans ideas?

Hi guys So I just picked up a 96 4 cylinder 5 speed manual shift 2wd. With 130k on the clock The Trans whines in 1st 2nd 3rd and 5th but is quiet in 4th. It also whines when idling with the clutch out and goes away when clutch is in. Any ideas on weather it maybe just a throw out bearing ? Or a bad Trans. And if it is a bad tranny what year Trans could I use to swap it out with.

Most likely throw out bearing when going down the road rest your foot on clutch
Pedal apply slight pressure if noise changes you can bet it's thro out bearing
