i wanna lift it as soon as possible. I dont know alot abt 4runners, so what lift would you suggest, i want to be able to fit 33's.
also, is there anything i can do abt the gas tank being so low? its deffinatly reducing ground clearance..

ill put pics of the new ride soon, its very clean.

Ball joint spacers and LC coils. Gets you about 2"

You can fit 33s stock if you trim the pinch weld in the front fender.

Dont forget about shocks and possibly gears.

Nothing you can really do about the tank unless you put it in the truck. You can however, beef up the stock skid plate by adding some angle iron to it to make it stronger.

You plan to wheel this thing?

yes i do plan on some wheelin.lol
the body lift sounds like a good idea for the gas tank, but i would also like to put at 3inch suspension lift. im just worried if i lift it too much i;ll have to extend a bunch of stuff.

that is a good idea, how high of a body lift do you think i need?

2" should be plenty. They make up to a 3inch, but that last inch takes a lot more work.

So if i get the 3inch coils for the front and back, what kind of shocks will i need?

3" longer shocks. Brand is up to you.

Is your truck a 2nd or a 3rd gen? If your unsure, throw up a pic and well tell you. That will determine the type of lift you need in the front.

its a 2nd gen. a 95.

Then you dont have coils in the front. You have torsion bars.

Get some Land Cruiser coils for the rear and some Ball Joint Spacers for the front.

And dont over look the panhard bar in the the rear, might need to get a drop bracket.

Where do you get the LC coils? And will the bj spacers be level with the rear if i put LC coils? also How big of shocks will i need for this? And what is a drop bracket? Sorry for all the questions, i just dont want to run into any issues.

and will this be high enough for 33's and still be able to flex pretty good?

LC coils- junkyard

BJ spacers- 4crawler

Your rear is a 4 link with panhard. The panhard bar should be parallel to the axle for best performance. If you lift the truck, youll change the angle of the bar, the drop bracket brings it back to stock.

You can run 33s stock if you trim the pinch weld in the front fenders. (or just hammer them down)

Have you thought about re-gearing to compensate for the bigger tires?

Google is your friend.

If you really want to improve off road performance, look into lockers.

Read this, the whole thing, not just the first couple pages. Should answer a lot of your questions.

2nd gen 4runners lift guide

Hope that helps. There is a lot that goes into making a capable off road rig. Feel free to ask anything else. :keyboard:

EDIT: And lets see a pic of this beast!
