Just got my first 4runner!!

Hey all, my name is Ashley and I just got my first Runner (98 SR5 V6) literally 2 days ago! Technically bought it as a winter vehicle, but I know it'll become more than that. ;)
I LOVE THIS THING! It's everything I thought it would be and more. But I HATE the cup holders, I looked on eBay (to find parts for cup holder mod) and only found 2 $100+ entire consoles... in the wrong color. Does anyone know an easier place to find just the cup holder plate, short of junkyards? There aren't many Runners in the junk around here, surprisingly.
Anyways, I have named my Runner Diffy. Don't ask me why, cause I really have no idea. It just stuck! It's a good solid truck, got it pretty nasty on the inside, previous owner must not have known ANYTHING about cleaning... Outside was pretty clean though! After hours of pulling pieces apart and washing them in the sink (I don't even do dishes hardly, but I spent an hour doing this LOL) I finally got it all put back together.
Also wondering about aftermarket radio dash kits, I got one that absolutely does not fit... It covers Toyota models from 1980-2000. Talk about a range. Trying a different one tomorrow, it covers from 1984-2004. Not much better but we will see if it fits better!
Diffy has 202k miles, I plan on a tune up very soon, but not when it's 12 degrees outside! Do y'all recommend checking on any specific things while I'm doing this? As I said, new to the 4runner game, lol.

Sorry no pics yet, I have some on my phone but not on my PC. Thanks for any help and input... Can't wait to get to play a little!!

Meet Diffy!! Will have better pics when it's not sooooooo cold!

Diffy looks like a nice clean ride.

As far as a tune up goes, I would first pull a couple of spark plugs and check to make sure they're good, pull the tranny dip stick and check the fluid level and make sure it doesnt smell burnt if its an automatic, check the air filter, motor oil, etc.... Also whenever I buy 4wd vehicles I always go underneath and lube all the zerk fittings in the driveline.

Good Luck

Thanks y'all! I changed plugs, wires, intake gaskets and valve cover gaskets, belts, and a few other things. Gonna get timing done soon and ac compressor too! Good news is I'm the 2nd owner of this beast, I was surprised!

Thats pretty sweet. I always like buying my cars when I do from either the original owner of from people I know. If its been through half a dozen owners then that would be worrisome

Oh yes. The previous owner traded it in to a big dealership, who sold it to a small used car lot, and i found it the night they dropped it off and badgered them until they gave me a price bahahah. Then I went up and got it! So incredibly happy with this 4runner. Exactly what I wanted! Minus those stupid cup holders!!!!
