Last week I ordered a black powdercoat Go Rhino hitch step from Central 4 Wheel Drive (http://www.central4wd.com). $79.98 delivered. I get home yesterday & sure enough, the box is sitting on my doorstep. I am giddy as a schoolgirl. I lean over & pick the box up & it is amazingly light. I mean, ridiculously light! The box is beat up pretty bad & one end seems to be loosely open. I look in & sure enough, the only thing in the entire box is a small bag with the hitch pin & the instructions. No hitch step. No carry bag. Nothing.
Well, I am pretty annoyed. I call up Central 4 Wheel & get on the phone with one of their guys. I explain the situation & he laughs. My biggest fear was that they would think that I got the hitch step & was trying to con another one out of them. The guy on the phone told me that they do not insure most packages that are valued under $200, but he has another hitch step in stock & he would ship it out that day. He told me to keep the hitch pin & instructions (gee...thanks!) & there was no need to send him pictures of the destroyed box.
So given the circumstances, I would have to give Central 4 Wheel a thumbs up for a quick resolution to the problem. Hopefully I will get the replacement step in next week.
