How about take the fiberglass part you've already made, line the inside of it with foil and lay up some new 'glass inside of it... Then you would have an exactly sized duplicate of the factory piece. Only another $25 and you'll have what you were after to begin with. Be sure to reinforce it good and lay up a few layers of 'glass.

dengsxr- Thanks I just got another 10" and will begin my second box shortly. Maybe in two weeks. I will get you my dimenisions as soon as I can. I said I would get this information before but I forgot. Give me some time and I will post them, I just made a template with a piece of carboard and worked from there.
The system sounds great, I love the bass out of this one 10". My amps..... hmmm. Well I got a little creative and still need to re-mount the amps. But in my truck I have the following.:

*2 Channel RF Headphone transmitter behind the Kenwood Head unit
*DVD player under the passenger seat.
*200 watt alpine inside the passenger seat Alpine
*Fosgate Punch 200 under the driver seat
* 10 Band Pheniox cross over inside the Drivers seat

My wifes truck:
* Boston Acustic 80 watt x 4 in the rear passenger wall (where the oem JBL sub would be)
* Pheniox Gold cross over the rear passenger tire ( the little covered pocket )


I plan on re-mounting the equipment in my truck in the same manner I did my wife's truck, but that is going to be a spring project.

I was finally able to work on the second box for my wife's truck. I wish I had the camera while I was working on it. But I got some pics of the 90% completed project. I just need to find the right carpet and one more washer and I am done. The main thing was to make a template and build the box around that. I made the box 7 inches thick and it came out a little to thick. For those wanting to recreate it I would suggest 6.5 inches thick.

i think i'm gonna dig into the side panel... i did a carpc and i think i will do thin mdf bracketted in there and computer mobo and controllers mounted to it with inverters and relays... ground to the chassis in there...

the door on the rear trim panel in the jbl 10 spkr system **CAN** be made sufficient as a door... they just melted the connections at a few points... you can cut them and the piece has the ability to act as a door... the only problem is the front piece needs a little help staying shut, but i'm sure we can figure out a way...

What size is the stock JBL sub? Is the speaker itself removable from the enclosure?

If anyone wants to sell their stock enclosure for a reasonable price, please let me know.
